The Interstate Fisheries Management Program (ISFMP) serves as the core of decision-making, where species management boards establish regulations to conserve fishery resources, supported by an active participation framework. The ISFMP Policy Board oversees this, monitoring stock performance and policy implementation with representation from all member states and several federal agencies.

The Advisory Panel (AP) met on July 28, 2014 via conference call. The main agenda item discussed was to review the context of Draft Addendum IV for public comment and provide feedback to the Board regarding the range of options that are being considered.

Based on the analysis presented, the required reduction by LCMA, with the exception of LCMA 6 (CT evaluation only), were either not achieved or were achieved mainly as a result of declining stock abundance / effort.
