Arlington, VA – The Commission’s Summer Flounder, Scup and Black Sea Bass Management Board will meet via conference call on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. to consider approval of Draft Addendum XXIV to the Summer Flounder Fishery Management Plan. The Draft Addendum proposes a mechanism to allow states access to the summer flounder recreational harvest limit (RHL) that is projected to not be harvested in 2013. Arlington, VA – Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Virginia have scheduled their hearings to gather public comment on Draft Addendum XXIV to the Summer Flounder Fishery Management Plan. Arlington, VA – The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Winter Flounder Management Board approved Draft Addendum III to Amendment 1 to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for the Inshore Stocks of Winter Flounder for public comment. The Draft Addendum proposes an annual specification process to set commercial and recreational fisheries measures for the Gulf of Maine (GOM) and Southern New England/Mid-Atlantic (SNE/MA) fisheries, including in-season accountability measures for commercial fisheries.
