The Contracted Horseshoe Crab Research Technician will assist the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (MADMF) Invertebrate Fisheries Program personnel with a horseshoe crab telemetry study and ongoing horseshoe crab monitoring surveys, as well as at-sea and shoreside biological sampling of other commercially important invertebrates (lobster, whelk, crabs). The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Recreational Angler Interviewer in Rhode Island. As Recreational Angler Interviewer, the incumbent will conduct the field portion of the Access-Point Angler Intercept Survey (APAIS). This important research study, sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) conducts face-to-face interviews with marine recreational anglers.
