Information:Email: ariele.baker@noaa.gov Atlantic herring: Informational opportunity The Northeast Fisheries Science Center, and its partners in the Northeast Region Coordinating Council, will hold an informational meeting to exchange information with stakeholders on the upcoming peer review for the Atlantic herring management track assessment and preliminary assessment results. The webinar will be June 11, 2020, from 9:30 to 11:00. During this meeting, the lead assessment scientist for Atlantic herring, Dr. Jon Deroba, will give a short presentation and answer questions about trends in the Atlantic herring data including abundance and recruitment of herring as well as information on fisheries effort and catch. The full assessment will be presented and reviewed at a peer review meeting the week of June 22nd. The Atlantic herring stock assessment will be presented on Monday, June 22 starting at 10:00.
