Workshop for Input on Scup Commercial Fishing Gear Restricted Areas

Description

As part of the ongoing Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council effort to investigate potential modifications to the scup Gear Restricted Areas (GRAs), the Council will be holding a public workshop to collect input on the GRAs on November 20th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The public workshop will be facilitated by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County-Marine Program and participants may participate by attending in-person at one of three locations or virtually. The meeting locations are:

  • Superior Trawl Inc., 55 State Street, Narraganset, RI 02882
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension, 423 Griffing Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901
  • Lund’s Fisheries, 997 Ocean Drive, Cape May, NJ 08204

 

In addition to the workshop, CCE is collecting industry input on the current scup GRAs through an online survey.
