This report summarizes the discussions of the workshop, which was intended to serve as an educational tool for biologists, engineers, and managers wishing to learn more about upstream and downstream eel passage technologies, methodologies, and evaluation. The workshop also served as a vehicle for information sharing, exposition of new or experimental technologies, and discussion of management strategies for eel protection at riverine migratory barriers.
