The NOAA Fisheries Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) seek one Atlantic mackerel fishing vessel to charter for twelve research cruise days in the Northwest Atlantic in winter and spring 2027. The project aims to advance methods for detecting and quantifying Atlantic mackerel using active acoustics.
