Meeting Information

The purpose of the meeting will be to cover:

  • Staff Review Draft Addendum III Process for 2026 Management Measures
  • AP Input to the Plan Development Team on Measuring Total Length of Striped Bass
  • Elect AP Chair and Vice Chair

Draft Addendum III will consider requiring squeezing/pinching the tail when measuring striped bass for total length (both sectors). Some states already require this, but others do not. Some states also note that fish must be laid flat on a measuring device. The Plan Development Team is seeking AP input on whether laying flat on a measuring device should be required. There is concern this may not always be realistic, for example if fishing from shore or a pier.
