This addendum addresses the Albemarle/Roanoke Stock Recovery and Delaware River Stock Recovery. It also maintains the 1998 state regulations through 1999 and 2000.
Fisheries Management
The Interstate Fisheries Management Program (ISFMP) serves as the core of decision-making, where species management boards establish regulations to conserve fishery resources, supported by an active participation framework. The ISFMP Policy Board oversees this, monitoring stock performance and policy implementation with representation from all member states and several federal agencies.

-
The goal of the management plan is to conserve the bluefish resource along the Atlantic coast.
-
This document is a collation of nearly the entire time-series of data on Atlantic striped bass collected by state and federal agencies since systematic monitoring of the species began in the 1950s.

The plan, when fully implemented, is designed to minimize the chance of a population collapse due to recruitment failure.
