The Advisory Panel (AP) met virtually at 5:00 PM on October 8, 2020 to (1) review updated fecundity (FEC) target and threshold ecological reference points (ERP); (2) provide recommendations on the 2021-2022 fishery specifications; and (3) elect a new AP Chair.

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s (Council’s) Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Advisory Panel (AP) met jointly with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s (Commission’s) Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass AP on June 29, 2020 to review the Fishery Information Documents and develop the following Fishery Performance Report for the three species. The primary purpose of this report is to contextualize catch histories for the Scientific and Statistical Committee (SSC) by providing information about fishing effort, market trends, environmental changes, and other factors. A series of questions listed below were posed to the AP to generate discussion.

The Shad and River Herring Advisory Panel (AP) met via conference call and webinar on Wednesday, April 8th to review and discuss state proposals for changes to river herring and shad management plans to resolve inconsistencies with Amendments 2 and 3 to the Commission’s Shad and River Herring Fishery Management Plan (FMP).

The Advisory Panels of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (Commission) and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council) met jointly via conference call and webinar on April 2, 2020 to review the Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Commercial/Recreational Allocation Amendment Scoping Comment Summary and provide recommendations on the types of alternatives which should be further developed.

In preparation of the Tautog Management Board’s consideration of the Rhode Island Conservation Equivalency (CE) Proposal in May 2020, Tautog Advisory Panel members provided the following comments via email in April.
