The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s (Council) and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s (Commission) Bluefish Advisory Panels (AP) met via webinar on June 12, 2025 to review the Fishery Information Document and develop the following Fishery Performance Report. The primary purpose of this report is to contextualize catch histories by providing information about fishing effort, market trends, environmental changes, and other factors.

A Horseshoe Crab Advisory Panel (AP) meeting was held on Thursday, April 10 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to review Draft Addendum IX to the Horseshoe Crab FMP as well as public comments submitted and provide input to inform the Management Board’s decisions on the management action.

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s (Council’s) Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass and Bluefish Advisory Panels (APs) met jointly with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s (Commission’s) Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass and Bluefish APs on March 13, 2025 to review public comment, review a summary of the recent Fishery Management Action Team/Plan Development Team (FMAT/PDT) meeting, and to provide input as advisors on the Recreational Measures Setting Process Framework/Draft Addenda.

The Shad and River Herring Advisory Panel (AP) met via conference call and webinar on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, to continue discussing the results of the 2024 River Herring Benchmark Assessment and receive an update on the progress of the New England Fishery Management Council’s (NEFMC) Atlantic Herring Amendment 10. The AP will meet in 2025 to review the management alternatives in Draft Amendment 10 when they are available.

The Spiny Dogfish Advisory Panel (AP) met via webinar on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, to review the management options presented in Draft Addendum VII. Only two AP members were present.
